Traffic Exchanges Don’t Work Right?

Well no not exactly, yesterday’s post was a bit of a teaser really, but yes I did sign up to traffic swarm and do some clicking.

Traffic Exchanges only work if you use them correctly.

As part of this review we will also look at marketing techniques. Now cast your mind back to the purpose of this blog. Do referral systems work? What marketing techniques work?

Read the post The First 3 things about internet marketing HERE

The Fourth thing then and particular to Traffic Exchanges is this

No More Than Four! The realistic number of exchanges that you can surf at one given time. The reality of hit exchange advertising is that multi-tabbed browsers have become the norm. These include Fire Fox, Crazy Browser, MYie2 and others. These programs have made surfing very easy for hit exchange users as they allow you to open multiple ‘tabbed windows’ within one web browser. This saves system resources, stops pop up windows and makes surfing very easy.

It becomes too easy and people are now opening dozens of sites at once. Question?, how much attention do you think these people are giving your website? None or very little would be a good answer, and this is lowering traffic quality across the board.

We need to treat each other’s website like we want ours to be treated. Co-operation between two surfers. You look at my site, and I’ll look at yours.

This does not mean sign up for every single website you see, but give each one a glance. If you see something that you may be interested in, bookmark it, come back to it. Check out the site design of each site, see what you like and perhaps design a site from those design ideas. Perhaps email the owner of the website and see if you can network with him or her. Ask yourself if it calls you to action, if it does you need to include that feature in your own pages in particular splash pages.

The first 3 things about internet marketing

Before we begin marketing our referral program I want to introduce you to 3 concepts that you must keep in mind whatever you are marketing.

Step 1

Build your List

If there is no way to build a list for yourself with what you are marketing then STOP NOW!! You will see as we progress through this review the number of hours it takes to get a program rolling and bringing in income, don’t fall into the trap of putting in these hours only to have to repeat yourself with the next one (Why will there be a next one? well we will talk about multiple streams of income later).

Now you will have noticed if you have checked out the site we are promoting, that we are simply building their list for them, even though we are getting paid to do so!

See how you can be part of this review and how you can help by reading THIS POST

There are many creative ways to build a list, and we need to address this NOW!

Step 2

You need to be able to track your hits, know where your traffic comes from and what is working for you. You will remember that the primary reason we chose this particular referral program for our review was because of their tracking. We would normally use an independent tracking system and not rely on the member area statistics but in this instance we wanted to keep it simple, also part of the review addresses the integrity of the program.

Step 3

STOP PROMOTING YOUR AFFILIATE LINKS!!!!!!! Especially in traffic exchanges

How many times have you seen the same website over and over again? Why is your affiliate link going to be different from the thousands of others that already grace the internet? You need to use splash pages.

Splash pages are one of the best kept secrets in hit exchange advertising. They are in fact promoting a website that you may be an affiliate to but they are custom made pages with only a few sentences, that capture the viewer’s attention and relay what the website is all about. A good splash page loads at lightning speed, has little or no graphics, and is no more than a paragraph of text.

So now I am going to go off and make my self a couple of splash pages.

p.s If you expect to be taken seriously and intend a long career on-line get yourself some web hosting!

p.p.s

If you still haven’t looked at how you can help this review become a great resource READ THIS POST
